When all the money collection and performances are completed, usually lasting all night until the following morning, the 'jaded troupes wend their way to a previously selected pleasure-ground near a stream, where after a short "mandi" or cleansing, they devote themselves to the enjoyment of a well-spread table... opposing team would join each other to settle all differences and resolve any remnant ill-feeling before the season closes.
Often these are in the gardens belonging to the homes of the Chinese or beside the river. They are also known to gather at the waterfalls for the closing feast and ritual. During the ceremony, paticipants would wear a bracelet made of goat's hair and silver thread, as well as wrap their body in a yellow shirt and sarong cloth. They would squeeze some lemon into the river, believing this helps with the process of cleansing. until they disperse homewards soon after noon, tired but supremely happy'.
